Easy Steampunk Inspired Candle Holder
I am a Sci-fi fan and I love Steampunk inspired design! Some of my favorite reads are, "The Time Machine" by HG Wells along with "Twenty-Thousand Leagues Under the Sea" and "Journey to the Centre of the Earth" by Jules Verne. The Wild Wild West is one of my all-time favorite TV series. Something about fusing the old with new to create clever technology and a unique style draws me to this amazing genre.
I came up with two variations of a Steampunk inspired candle holder that I want to share with you. These candle holders are easy to make, inexpensive, and the possibilities are endless! I purchased the materials from Amazon.com, Dollar Tree and Walmart.
The video tutorial appears at the bottom of this post.

Project-specific Supplies:
► 3” Square Glass Candleholder - Dollar Tree $1
► 2 Square Coasters - Dollar Tree $2
► Crafter's Square Decorative Plastic Gem Ribbon. Comes in 6’ rolls - Dollar Tree $1
► Cloth/Burlap Ribbon of your choice - Walmart and/or Dollar Tree $1 - $2.24 a roll
► Le Bouton Favorite Findings Steampunk buttons - Walmart $2.97 a pack

Standard Craft Supplies:
► Mod Podge (Glossy or Matte your choice)
► E600 Adhesive (use in well-ventilated area)
► Glue gun - I like this one from Amazon http://amzn.to/2gRCbNb
► Foam brush
► Metallic Paint of your choice. For this project I used FolkArt’s Antique Copper 666E, Antique Gold 658E, and Inca Gold 676E

Here is the video tutorial:
I hope that you enjoy it. Let me know what you think. If you make this project, please post photos. I would love to see your variations.
Go forth and craft all the things! 😁 ❤️ 👍🏼
